1.Which bounce house is best for my party?
This can perhaps be the most difficult to pose and yet easiest to answer question. Most bounce houses have a standard size of 15 feet by 15 feet by 15 feet. Basically a giant cube! Be sure to measure your space. It will be your available space that will determine what kind of bounce house is right for your party. Does your party have a theme? Some bounce houses have a themed panel which can match your party. There are all sorts of Themed Bounce Houses available.
2. Can the bounce house go in a parking lot or driveway?
Certainly! Bounce houses are made with rugged vinyl and resist most forms of wear and tear. Be sure to mention what surface you plan to put the bounce house or inflatable on. This will let the representative from your rental company know which anchoring devices to bring with the inflatable. Generally inflatables are anchored with stakes when on grass and sandbags when on hard surfaces like asphalt.
3. Do i need insurance?
Insurance is not required for small private parties. You are responsible for any injuries that occur in the bounce house on your property. It may sound scary but there are options. You can have your guests sign a standard waiver form or you can ask your bounce house company to provide staffing for your event. A staffed event is covered under the rental company's insurance. Companies like Executive Events & Entertainment generally carry a 2 million dollar policy. You can also request a certificate of insurance labeling you or your entity as additionally insured under the rental company's policy. This may incur an additional fee to your rental but that fee provides you with the piece of mind. If you are planning an event which will be open to the public, we suggest you obtain the insurance certificate.
It may sound scary but any rental company should be able to answer any insurance or liability questions you may have. Never use a company that cannot provide you with licensing and insurance information. In the state of Ohio, all inflatables used for rentals must be licensed and insured by law.
4. how many people can be on the inflatable at once?
This will vary depending on what bounce house you choose to rent. The larger the bounce house the more people can use it at once. It is important to ensure that you do not put too many people in the bounce house or inflatable. Make sure everyone has at least 4 feet of bouncing space around them. Most injuries in bounce houses occur when there are too many people inside it at once.
Renting a bounce house should be a smooth process. Be sure to take the above points into consideration and do not be afraid to ask your rental representative about insurance, licensing, and setup processes. Remember, price should not be the only factor to consider when renting a bounce house or inflatable. When done correctly, inflatables can be a safe and affordable way to add some fun to your next party or event.
